What is TAP?
The USDA Tree Assistance Program (TAP) provides financial assistance to help agricultural producers replant or rehabilitate orchards and vineyards that have been removed. Funding is available on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to program guidelines and eligibility.
TAP is administered locally through the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District in partnership with USDA.
You may be eligible if:
You are a grower in the San Joaquin Valley Air District.
You are removing an eligible orchard, vineyard or other tree crop.
You plan to replant with an eligible crop or make other qualifying improvements.
You meet USDA and program requirements and deadlines.
Program rules and funding are subject to change. We will help you review current guidelines.
